Self-esteem is how you feel about yourself. It is about accepting yourself, no matter what others think of you. It is about understanding that you are not perfect and embracing yourself with your flaws (but make sure to work on those flaws that you want to change).

It's true that we cannot always be proud of the things we did. It's easier said than done but how you want to voice out yourself doesn't have to be bitterly influenced by others if you truly believe your instincts are right. Sure you can consider criticism, but never let them take a hold of you!
